GIVE INDIA

GiveIndia is a donation platform that allows you to support a cause of your choice from about 100 NGOs that have been scrutinised for transparency & credibility.

We do not raise funds for ourselves. We help you donate to these NGOs.

We tell you exactly where your money went and also give you proof of it through the feedback report. We ensure that at least 90% of your contribution reaches the organization you support (as against the average of 40% for the NGO sector).

What makes us different? We have reviewed over 1000 non-profit organizations from all over India to identify nearly 100 organizations that have met with the Credibility Alliance's norms. They work for causes ranging from child welfare and education to disability, poverty, and women's empowerment to name a few.

Conceived by Venkat Krishnan, an IIM-A graduate in December 1999, GiveIndia is managed by a team of professionals who have earlier worked with various corporates and now have dedicated their careers to making a difference. We got registered on April 28, 2000, as a non-profit under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Since inception, over 30,000 donors across the globe have been able to impact over a million lives by supporting 150 organizations through GiveIndia.

Hello
I understand that you have written about GiveIndia before and would like to take this opportunity to inform you about our new initiative. Every month we will be taking up our new cause and will try to raise a predetermined target of funds for that cause.
In April 2012 our goal is to help 200 cataract patients see again. Cataract, as you may know, is the blurring of the lens in our eyes. This condition is completely curable but not everyone can afford the sight saving surgery. So this month we will attempt to help 200 unfortunate people see again.
It would be nice if you could support this cause by writing about us. You may log on to http://www.giveindia.org/t-cataract-surgeries.aspx for more details on the campaign. Do let us know if you need any additional information.

Thanks
Allan
